Bernd Kraeftner
Bernd Kraeftner studied medicine and worked as author and filmmaker; he was principal investigator of several transdisciplinary research projects, that explored the messy interfaces between the sciences and society. He founded the working group SHARED INC., Research Centre for Shared Incompetence (Members: J. Kröll, I. Warner, G. Ramsebner, and L. Currently he is conducting the research project: "In the event of...Anticipatory and participatory politics of emergency provision" within the Arts and Science call of the Vienna Science and Technology Fund (WWTF).

Sensory Regulation: Electrodermal activity of a hare. A fairy tale
Bernd Kraeftner and Shared Inc. (Research Centre For Shared Incompetence) report on a little experiment which was conducted within the research project "Pillow Research  - hidden talents and multiple diagnoses" (FWF L528). It shows the mundane interaction with a patient who is in a vegetative state (a comatose state). It raises (political) issues of methods of diagnosing and how these methods change our understanding of the research topic at hand.
