Luise Reitstätter is a cultural scientist working in various projects focussing on theory and practice of contemporary fine arts, dance/performance and architecture/urbanism. In recent years she worked as assistance to the curation at documenta.12, as project coordinator for the austrian pavillion at the venice biennale 2008/2009 (Bettina Götz, Valie Export, Silvia Eiblmayr) and as head of production for Philipp Gehmacher. Since 2010 her research focus is arts&science in Salzburg (Austria), where she currently works on her doctorate at the department for sociology and cultural science with an empirical study about exhibitions as potential spheres of action.

Luise Reitstätter ist Kulturwisssenschaftlerin und seit 2002 in zahlreichen Projekten mit dem Fokus auf Theorie und Praxis zeitgenössischer bildender Kunst, Tanz/Performance und Architektur/Urbanismus tätig. In den letzten Jahren arbeitete sie unter anderem als kuratorische Assistenz bei der documenta 12, als Projektkoordinatorin für den Österreich Pavillon – La Biennale di Venezia 2008 und 2009 im Auftrag von Bettina Götz bzw. VALIE EXPORT und Silvia Eiblmayr sowie als Produktionsleiterin für Philipp Gehmacher. Seit 2010 forscht Luise Reitstätter am Schwerpunkt Wissenschaft & Kunst in Salzburg und promoviert dort am Fachbereich Soziologie und Kulturwissenschaft mit einer empirischen Studie über Ausstellungen als potentielle Handlungsräume.
